The Rare Earth for Fashions

When traveling in Del Mar or Carlsbad, Calif., you
may want to go shopping at stores that specialize in
fashion, bargains and personal care. There are two such
shops in San Diego County that may be just what you
are looking for. The Rare Earth at Flower Hill Promenade,
Del Mar or TRE Women’s Clothing at The Forum at
Carlsbad. The Rare Earth was started 26 years ago by
Bobbie Martini. Since that time her two daughters, Sheree
Vihon and Rochelle Johnson, have kept the music playing,
which has included a newer store in Carlsbad that is
called The Rare Earth, or TRE for short. Model Kathryn Regal wears a stunning summer dress by Sue Wang in our cover photo. Sheree and Rochelle offer personal service that customers are searching for. Each
store offers over 80 different designers. Some are: Hale Bob, Allen B, Velvet-Tees, Sue Wong Dresses, BCBG, Streets Ahead jeans and belts. Blue Cult, Sky, Vertigo, and Rock-n-Republic to mention a few.
The styles are in the contemporary vein and have developed many long-time customers who live in the beach communities from Carlsbad, Rancho Santa Fe to Del Mar and La Jolla. Go shopping and see for yourself.
The two sisters often get involved in charitable events for Children’s Hospital, San Diego, held at Four Season’s Resort.
