San Francisco Ballet's Nutcracker

A spectacular production of the Nutcracker by the San Francisco Ballet begins a 19-performance run, December 2 - 29, 2005, at the War Memorial Opera House. “This is Nutcracker on a grand-scale -- striking, elegant and beautiful,” according to an Opera House spokesperson.
The production is, of course, a traditional family holiday treat with wonderful music of Tchaikovsky and notable choreography by Helgi Tomasson, vivid décor by Michael Yeargan, costumes by Tony-award winning designer Martin Pakledinaz, lighting by James F. Ingalls, and projection design by Wendall K. Harrington. The San Francisco Ballet is said to the fourth best in the world. Come see for yourself.
