We know there is no better way to explore than from the sky, but have you tried it gentle as a breeze? A Grape Escape Balloon Adventure takes you up in the air like a drifting feather, sometimes hovering right above the grapevines and sometimes lifting up to 3,000 feet. Rising with the sun and floating above the vineyards is a gentle way to greet your day. But beware, you night owls, call time is between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m.
The seasoned pilots have logged thousands of hours, and in eleven years, they’ve never had an accident or injury. Remember that as you watch the seven-story balloon fill with propane-heated air. It’s quite a site to behold. The European-designed baskets hold various sized groups but the average is four to six passengers per balloon. It’s fascinating to watch how the pilot manages to control your journey via wind speed and direction.
It’s also great fun to observe the pilot as he finds an open field to smoothly set down in and meet up with the champagne brigade. They serve Wilson Creek’s almond champagne and other treats after your ride. In addition, you receive a photo documenting your new aeronaut status.
